On October 6th, in Madrid, Jakub Nowak signed an agreement to acquire Marqués de Monistrol, a historic winery producing cava in Spain. Entering the Spanish market became another pillar of international expansion, marking a significant step in the group’s global development.
The JNT Group is dynamically implementing its international expansion strategy. Last year, DOMENIILE BOIERU SRL joined the group, including 200 hectares of vineyards in Ciumbrud and Sebes. This has allowed the company to broadly introduce Transylvanian wines to Poland, while also actively selling its Polish brands in the Romanian market.
The purchase of a winery in Spain, with a production capacity of 12 million bottles of cava per year, opens up further opportunities for dynamic growth.

This transaction is crucial for our global strategy, as it opens the Group’s door to the world, giving us enormous growth potential,” explains Jakub Nowak, CEO of JNT Group. “By acquiring Marques de Monistrol, we are not only actively entering the Spanish market, where we plan to sell other products, such as Monte Santi and spirits, but we are also gaining broad access to many global markets. Seventy percent of our cava production is exported, and along with it, we will broadly distribute the Group’s other products. This will allow us to scale our business and significantly advance our goal of being present in 50 markets within the next three to five years.”
Marqués de Monistrol is the second oldest cava producer in Spain, operating since 1882. Located in the Sant Sadurní d’Anoia region, it offers ideal conditions for sustainable viticulture. Since 1882, the wines produced at Marqués de Monistrol have won medals and distinctions at important industry competitions in Paris, Brussels, and Barcelona, and in the last ten years alone, they have received 165 international awards.
We will continue to write the history of this over 143-year-old brand and actively support its development,” assures Jakub Nowak, CEO of JNT Group.
